UK map: counties, English regions, etc ~  www.folklife.uk/uk-map

These are the Government's countries, regions and counties which we use when allocating print and webpages on this site (Folklife West print & online; online Folklife directory) : 
        Wales;    England:  South-West (West Country),  West Midlands,  other English regions*** ;    Scotland;    International. 

*** the other English regions in this order:  
[East & South]   East Midlands,  East,  South-East,  London; 
[North] ...........     North West,  North East,  Yorkshire.

NOTE: instead of government's "Yorkshire and the Humber" region, we use
  • “Yorkshire” and that includes Yorkshire areas of the former Humberside.
  • “East Midlands region”: under Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire areas of the former Humberside (= N.Lincs, N.E.Lincs districts)
